London-based diversity-marketing agency, Monumental, has appointed Dan O’Gorman as its new Chief Commercial Officer.

O’Gorman joins Monumental after holding positions as EMEA Brand Partnerships Director for user-generated-content giant Bazaarvoice, Commercial Director at Gay Times Group and Commercial Director at Pride in London.

O’Gorman will lead the strategic growth and expansion of Monumental across its entire client portfolio in all major markets. He will report to Monumental’s Chief Executive, Jamie Love.

At this critical juncture in the agency’s ambitious growth plans, O’Gorman brings more than a decade of experience leading teams across beauty, lifestyle, leisure and tech to deliver world-first, innovation-led brand partnerships. In his new role, O’Gorman will oversee all revenue-generating functionality as well as sales, account management and client experience teams.

For the last three years, O’Gorman led SMB Brand Partnership activity in EMEA at Bazaarvoice, the world’s largest UGC platform, activating major partnerships with brands including Charlotte Tilbury, KP Snacks, Spinmaster and Tangle Teezer. Prior to Bazaarvoice, he has delivered major brand collaborations centred on highlighting LGBTQ+ issues and community voices with Coca-Cola, Southern Comfort, AbInBev and Deliveroo and experiential marketing activations with DreamWorks, Nike and WWE.

‘I’m delighted to be joining Monumental at this incredibly exciting stage in the agency’s evolution. The success that the team has achieved over the past six years is remarkable, and I’m very much looking forward to amplifying their unique capability as a one-stop-shop for omni-channel growth coupled with authentic audience engagement, rooted in a passion for platforming underrepresented voices.”

Since its inception in 2017, the multi-award-winning boot-strapped Monumental boasts an account list of more than 100 brands. Driving strategic growth and transformational change through diversified audience engagement, building trust in underrepresented communities and delivering growth, engagement, loyalty and advocacy for its clients.

CEO, Jamie Love says, “Our vision is to lead a diverse marketing revolution through the empowerment of underrepresented communities. We’re thrilled to be welcoming Dan to the team, aka The Monumentals.

“I admire Dan’s achievements but, most importantly, the values he has infused in every one of his roles. These very same values sit at the heart of why we exist and they’re what inspire us to deliver excellent work every day.”
